That Day you Touched my Arm

__________________________________________

That day you touched my arm, it seemed
That air was thicker than it used
To be; and even if I dreamed
That fettered things at last were loosed-

No truer tale, could lips reveal
In matrimonial embrace,
No gilded link would ever seal
The treasure hid by white lace;

And thinking that my secret lie
In places undisclosed, and still;
I was surprised to find that I
Had wrote it, on the window-sill.
