There's a Fire

There's a fire burning in my soul,
There's a place I never could go;
There's a sight, I never could see:
Some other place, where she sleeps free.

There's a place I never could go,
Where trees sway, and tall grass grows;
There's a stone, beside a chapel,
And a hook, I could not grapple.

There's a sight, I never could see
Where she went, when she had to leave;
Under heaven, she now lies still:
She left; and it a bitter pill.

Some other place, where she sleeps free;
Skies are blue, over such tall trees,
One tree shelters her, from the storm-
And my dead heart, within her form.
